Data Deletion Policy

1. Commitment to User Privacy
At Faith Companion, we believe your spiritual records, personal prayers, and family logs are yours alone. We respect your right to completely purge this sensitive history from our databases.
2. What Data Can Be Deleted?
Requesting account deletion will permanently purge:
- Your account profile details (email, encrypted password, name, denomination settings).
- All generated prayer logs and private devotional journaling data.
- Your membership and contributions in any Family Prayer Circle.
- Calendar milestones and streak counts.
3. How to Request Data Deletion
You can request deletion through two options:
Option A: In-App Settings (Instant)
Open the Faith Companion app → Go to Settings → Profile → Tap "Delete Account". You will be asked to confirm your password. Once confirmed, your records are deleted immediately.
Option B: Email Support Request (Within 72 Hours)
Send an email from your registered email address to support@faithcompanion.in with the subject line "Request for Data Deletion". Our support team will verify your identity and wipe your database footprint within 3 business days, sending you a confirmation email.
4. Data Retention Limits
Once account deletion is triggered, your data is wiped from active databases. Backup server snapshots are automatically overwritten within 30 days. We do not retain any residual logs of your personal prayer requests once the deletion process completes.
